The Freedom Soccer Club was founded in August 2003. All teams participate in the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League (MOSSL) or the Buckeye Premier League, which are under the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association (OSYSA) umbrella. The girls' club is directed by Ian Peña, a USSF 'A' licensed coach and OSYSA 2006 Girls' Coach Of The Year. All coaches are licensed and have varied coaching and playing experiences. The Freedom Girls' Soccer Club places emphasis on the following aspects of player development:
